This document presents the Strategic Knowledge and Innovation Agenda (SKIA) of the NFI for the period 2025–2030. The agenda provides direction for the NFI’s scientific and innovation priorities and gives further substance to the NFI Strategic Forensic Research Program (SFON).

The SKIA is based on developments identified within the forensic research domain. Technological, scientific, and forensic developments are advancing rapidly, while the available research capacity to anticipate these developments in a timely manner is limited. It is therefore more important than ever that we effectively direct our capacity towards the areas considered most relevant and urgent.
